Reg state of Expired Experiment

Question: My Question is how do we represent the state of an expired Experiment. I have an experiment that is expired (meaning the end date of experiment is past the current date), but when I do a GET on the experiment, the state is being shown as "RUNNING". When I am trying to get all the bucket assignments of an user on the expired experiment, its showing as "EXPERIMENT_EXPIRED".so I wanted to know how are we capturing the experiment state, because it is inconsistent across both GET REST calls.
