Export of Business Item is not triggered when restoring a property to its default value

We are going through and converting a number of Business Item Properties over to System Default Settings. Once we create the SDS, we then go into the business item to restore that property to it's (newly created) default setting (so the business item pulls it from SDS rather than the value defined on the item itself)

However, the act of clicking "Restore Default" does not trigger an export of the item to git. We find we have to make an unrelated additional change (like updating the comment) to enable/click the "Apply" button to trigger an export to git.

This feels like a bug, but I do not know if it is a bug in embedded git or in Iris itself.
