HOW TO: Find & Claim a Good First Issue

Hi! Welcome to the Open Library project.

You may be searching for a good first issue and be wondering, how do I get chosen to work on an issue?

Here's a new process we're trying!

1. Please read our [Contributing](https://github.com/internetarchive/openlibrary/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) guide for all sorts of information on getting started
2. Look through our list of [Good First Issues](https://github.com/internetarchive/openlibrary/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+-linked%3Apr+label%3A%22Good+First+Issue%22+no%3Aassignee)
3. Ask to be assigned to an issue by including the text "assign me" in your comment
* Include any questions you have about completing the issue
4. Staff will review your response and assign the issue to you
5. [Follow these instructions](https://github.com/internetarchive/openlibrary/wiki/Git-Cheat-Sheet#making-changes-and-creating-a-pull-request) to create a new git branch, test your changes, and submit a PR for the issue.
