Click faded background to close modals

This can be tricky. Here's an approach I haven't tried yet: *Remove containing element of dialog, add zIndex to dialog, add onmousedown to backdrop.*

In the worst case, we have to completely change how modals are handled in the code. Using a React-specific library would be nice at this point.
