Description

Hi, seeing that DLSS for Blender has just been showcased in Siggraph 2025: https://www.instagram.com/p/DNfxNTZAcqI/?hl=en
Will you consider adding XeSS to Blender as well? XeSS supports a greater range of GPUs.

I understand Blender has quite rigid requirements for external libraries being open-source, but as seen with DLSS, there are ways to incorporate libraries without forcing them to be open-source. Optix was also implemented in Blender in such a way. You can discuss this with Blender developers such as Brecht Van Lommel, or Sergey Sharybin. Thank you for reading this and considering this.

The pull request that adds DLSS to Blender is here:
https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender/pulls/153077

It serves as an example of implementing a proprietary software in Blender. You can see how they do it without making the software open source.
