Description
We're currently reviewing the [intel-npu-driver snap](https://github.com/canonical/intel-npu-driver-snap) tests with @wfrench and we're wondering about the firmware version testing:
1. For testing the NPU driver, is it necessary to make sure the version of firmware is the same release as the UMD driver ? Is there already a version test included in the npu-umd-test utility?
2. Is it possible to deterministically extract the version string (as in the firmware column in the [releases table](https://github.com/intel/linux-npu-driver/releases)) from the firmware binary?
