No data shown in gvk-pipeline-explorer after Vulkan app run

Description
When running some Vulkan app in gvk-pipeline-explorer (e.g., vkcube.exe from the Vulkan SDK), the following output is printed on the console, but no data is loaded after the app closes:
```
INFO : Launched C:/VulkanSDK/1.4.335.0/Bin/vkcube.exe
INFO : C:/VulkanSDK/1.4.335.0/Bin/vkcube.exe closed
