What is the difference between the in-tree driver and this out-of-tree repo?

Specifically, we are using Linux kernel 5.15 + out-of-tree [iavf 4.5.3](https://github.com/intel/ethernet-linux-iavf/releases/tag/v4.5.3), and are considering to upgrade the kernel to 6.12. Does the 6.12 in-tree iavf driver cover all the functionalities of out-of-tree iavf 4.5.3?
iavf-4.5.3 was released on Mar 23, 2024 and Linux 6.12 was released on Nov 17, 2024. So I guess the answer is Yes?
