Description

When I try to upload an image using the rich content editor, the image loads fine, but upon hitting submit, the image disappears and this error shows up: Something went wrong. Check your connection, reload the page and try again.

Images and files are uploaded fine for the course.

Also if instead of uploading an image, I try to access the course failes, it simply says "Loading failed."

Oddly enough, if I copy the url of the course images, I can add them as URL

I did run the procedure outlined on https://docs.bitnami.com/google/apps/canvaslms/configuration/enable-canvas-rce-api/

Research direction

Start by reproducing the failure on the Google Cloud Bitnami instance, comparing rich-editor image submission with course file uploads and image URLs. Review the linked Bitnami procedure for enabling the Canvas RCE API; done means uploaded editor images persist after submission and course access no longer reports "Loading failed."
