Reviewer: OHDSI and OMOP

The principles discussed are incredibly important to any science project that utilizes computer science techniques to work with data. From the ETL workflows to visualizations, are all steps that these principles can and should be implemented. However, this poster lacks a subjective analysis of the impact of these principles. The poster would greatly benefit from quantifying the effects of these principles for AMIA’s audience.
The authors also failed to explore other options that harmonize data management and extractions for science. I strongly recommend exploring Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) OMOP Common Data Model (https://www.ohdsi.org/data-standardization/the-common-data-model/) which was created with an eye towards reproducibility of research across all institutions.
