Reconnect after disconnect?

STR:
* use subduction to load some data
* disconnect network
* (wait a while?)
* reconnect to wifi

Observed behaviour:
* patchwork tools don't load for a while
* then patchwork tools all load at once

Hunch:
* possibly there is a reconnect / heal logic issue
