Description
According to @russorat, everything under /sources is effectively deprecated & shouldn't be advertised. I'm not sure if it's worth marking the routes as deprecated for some window of time before deleting them, or if we should just delete them (from the API specs, deleting from code is a separate issue)

Start by locating every /sources route in the repository's API specifications. Resolve whether the routes should be marked deprecated for a transition period or removed directly; done means the chosen policy is applied consistently and the APIs are no longer advertised as intended.
