Description

Hello,

Is there any option to get rid off Host down alert from deadman for auto scaling groups ?
We are using AWS auto scaling group, it expands depends upon on the traffic. In case if the auto scaling goes down we are continuously getting alerts saying that the host is down.

Also, we wanted to remove those measurements from the influxDB.

It would be very much appreciated if anyone can share solution for this issue.

Research direction

The report concerns deadman Host down alerts for AWS auto scaling groups and measurements in InfluxDB, but names no file, test, or entry point. Start by reproducing the alert behavior and tracing the relevant deadman and autoscaling handling; done requires an agreed behavior for transient hosts and their measurements.
