Description
`influx_tools` is a useful collection of (internal) utilities that we want to keep up-to-date in OSS 2.0. Since it links with lots of core product code, it will continue to take advantage of new features and bug fixes in areas like compaction if we port it, as opposed to diverging from the 2.0 code base if we only leave it in 1.X branches.
