Description

Proposal:
When hovering over a time series, it would be nice to 'deep dive' into that time series. Perhaps, on clicking a time series, a popup appears that offers predetermined 'data links' that, when clicked, open a new url to a dashboard with a variable populated in the url so that the new dashboard knows what is being deep-dived.

Current behavior:
N/A.

Desired behavior:
See proposal.

Alternatives considered:
Grafana...

Use case:
Why is this important (helps with prioritizing requests)?
Allows for high-level dashboards that provide the ability to further reveal for detailed information when desired.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named in the issue. Start by locating the dashboard time-series interaction and existing dashboard navigation patterns, then clarify the data-link configuration and target URL behavior; done means a selected series can expose a predefined link that opens another dashboard with the relevant variable populated.
