## Hard deletes:
Tables will be removed from the catalog after a grace period has transpired after the table has reached its hard-delete time. The default is 24 hours, but can be adjusted by an administrator.
So, if you were to hard-delete a table “now”, it would take about 24 hours before it is removed from the catalog. The data will be removed immediately.
The reason for keeping them in the Catalog for some period of time is so that downstream systems can also clear it out.

Research direction
Review the listed Core, Enterprise, shared CLI, and admin documentation paths, starting with the InfluxDB 3 CLI guides and the Enterprise license page. Update the guides to reflect the stated hard-delete grace period, catalog removal, and immediate data removal behavior, along with any affected CLI, retention, and license references.
