User is asking how to view retention policies. We might add a link to the instructions:
To view a list of retention periods associated with an InfluxDB 1.x database, run the [`SHOW RETENTION POLICIES`](https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v1.8/query_language/explore-schema/#show-retention-policies) command in the influx CLI.
