Better schema and data layout examples

Customer feedback - Why is there no Github repo with VERBOSE examples? There's no helpful samples for v2.2.

Feedback was regarding the 1.8 version

Add the requested verbose schema and data-layout examples and any appropriate link to key concepts, then verify the v2.2 documentation pages contain the examples and links.
