Description
Hi,
This is not actually an issue but rather a request.
Improv currently uses ble or serial to function, why not use wifi.
Like with esp rainmaker, esp generates an wifi access point which esp rainmaker app identifies, connects to it and the n helps configuring it.
Same goes with Tuya as well.
Is there a way to implement the same, since majority of the home automation devices use esp8266 which does not have built in ble.
Improv Wifi via Wifi will definitely help there.

Research direction
No source file, test, or entry point is identified. Start by mapping the existing BLE and serial provisioning paths, then compare the requested ESP RainMaker and Tuya access-point flows; completion would require an agreed design and working Wi-Fi provisioning for ESP8266 devices.
