Description

If a video is played using the media layers, should we support spatial audio?
For instance, if the video is an equirect, should the stereo channels reposition themselves as the user turns their head?

Research direction

This issue is an open design question about spatial audio for video played through media layers, including equirectangular video as an example. No implementation files, tests, or entry points are identified; first clarify whether head-relative channel repositioning is required and define acceptance criteria for supported media.
