Yes
Hi, I would like to request the addition of two complementary features in Remotely to enhance the remote control and support experience: a session timer and the ability to generate session reports. These features would be valuable for monitoring session durations and creating detailed reports for later review and record-keeping.
## Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, Remotely lacks a built-in session timer and the capability to generate session reports. This presents challenges in accurately tracking session durations and maintaining a record of the activities performed during each remote connection. By incorporating these features, Remotely can offer users a more comprehensive and organized remote control solution.
## Describe the solution you'd like
1. **Session Timer:** Integrate a session timer within the Remotely interface, which automatically starts upon establishing a remote connection and pauses when the connection is terminated. The timer should be easily visible during the remote session, allowing users to monitor the duration of their sessions effortlessly.
2. **Session Report** Generation: Implement a feature that enables users to generate detailed session reports summarizing the remote connection's activities. These reports should include information such as session start and end times, total session duration, client details, and a log of actions performed during the session.
## Describe alternatives you've considered
As an alternative to an integrated session timer and session report generation, users may resort to external time-tracking tools and manual note-taking for session activities. However, these manual methods are prone to errors, time-consuming, and lack the seamless integration and organization that an integrated solution would provide.
## Additional context
The addition of a session timer and session report generation would be highly advantageous for Remotely's users, including IT support teams, professionals, and individual users who rely on the software for remote control and assistance. The session timer would improve session management and billing accuracy, while the session reports would enable users to review and audit past remote connections efficiently.
The session report generation feature should offer options to export reports in both PDF and TXT formats, providing flexibility for users to choose their preferred file format for archiving and sharing. This feature aligns with Remotely's commitment to delivering an intuitive and powerful remote control solution tailored to the needs of its users.
I believe they would significantly enhance the software's capabilities and elevate the overall user experience. I look forward to seeing Remotely continue to thrive as a comprehensive remote control and remote scripting solution.

Research direction
No files or tests are named. Start by locating the remote connection lifecycle and the interface used during active sessions, then trace where session details could be recorded and exposed. Done would include a visible timer that starts and stops with the connection, plus reports containing the requested session data and PDF/TXT export options.
