Description
Detecting local maxima can be a really useful way to segment some images, particularly those with uneven illumination. See [this StackOverflow answer](http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26527119#26527119) for an example of this approach in practice in a very effective way. We should ensure that ImageJ OPS has a routine for this.
