Description

Dear all,
I link the post of forum.image.sc that explains the issue. It looks that for calibrations < 1 and high anisotropy there are spurious elements appearing in the distance transform.

Research direction

Start by reading the linked forum.image.sc discussion and locating the distance-transform implementation in imagej-ops. Reproduce the issue with anisotropic images, calibration values below 1, and high anisotropy. Done means the distance transform no longer produces spurious elements in that case, with a regression test if the relevant test location can be identified.
