Research direction
Start by reviewing the library's current mesh and facet data structures, then compare them with the IJ-Ops DefaultMesh implementation and the successor imglib2-mesh repository. The work is complete when the project has a documented, uniform representation and a clear implementation choice for supporting or replacing the current structure.
