Description

Some ND2 files (acquired with NIS elements software, Nikon) in 8-bit at certain resolutions (e.g. 1066x590, 1277x1021) look stretched when opened in Fiji (attached image – left opened in Fiji, right the same image in NIS-Elements).
The files contain multiple time points (fast timelapses).

Research direction

No source file, test, or entry point is identified. Start by reproducing the display problem in Fiji with an affected 8-bit, multi-timepoint ND2 file at one of the reported resolutions, then compare the rendered dimensions with NIS-Elements; done means those files no longer appear stretched.
