Description
The most common use would be to first capture just an email address, and then show a follow-up form where you capture more data such as name and birth date. Of course the email should be submitted to Mailchimp right away after submitting the first step in case someone doesn't finish the second step.

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the plugin's form handling and Mailchimp submission flow, then trace how a form submission could retain state between steps. Done means the first step captures an email and submits it to Mailchimp immediately, while a second step captures additional fields.
