**Describe the bug**

when not on the line:

when on the line:

**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. link with a short preview, long url and narrow horizontal view port
2. see the text wraps when the long url is hidden
3. when on the line, you can see why the text is wrapping the way it is

**Expected behavior**

when not on the line, the text doesn't wrap unless the visible text needs to
