chat buffer - all tab overwritten by tell tab

uncertain if this may be fixed by #61

No file, test, or entry point is identified in the issue. Reproduce the chat-buffer behavior described, compare it with the possible fix in issue #61, and consider the issue done when the All tab remains visible instead of being overwritten by the Tell tab.
