**What I did:**
* start Xorg with i3 in debug mode
* start puredata with default settings
* click Window menu, and Minimize (did it 3 times)
* quit puredata
**What I saw:**
The GUI becomes unresponsive with every "minimize" action, the window isn't instantly redrawn.
**What I expected instead:**
Nothing since i3 isn't meant to "minimize" windows, but GUI should stay reactive.
Similar symptoms occur when using puredata in a normal way, to a point it is not usable : this application is meant to work realtime since it's a platform for sound design/musical instrument, amongst other things.
The problem doesn't seem to occur with other environments (tested with openbox), this problem has been around for months/years if not always but I had a break from its use so I'm only reporting it now. Some other users seem to experiment the same problems with the same app ( https://www.reddit.com/r/i3wm/comments/6wyrsz/i3_does_not_work_well_with_puredata/ ).
