Description

**Describe the bug**
On https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/01/08/foreign-returned the text does not seem to load dynamically, but Hypothesis annotations intermittently orphan in Via.

**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Go to https://via.hypothes.is/https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/01/08/foreign-returned
2. Leave annotations at the beginning and end of the article (to show text is not loading dynamically)
3. Refresh the page *possible several times)
4. Note how annotations orphan sometimes, and anchor properly other times.

**Expected behavior**
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

Research direction

Reproduce the intermittent orphaning at the Via URL for the New Yorker article, following the annotation and refresh steps in the issue. Compare annotations at the beginning and end of the article across several refreshes, and consult the linked Zendesk ticket for additional context. Done means annotations consistently anchor correctly after refresh.
