Description
### Background ###
Several UX Issues have been reported re: the Mobile UX from eLife. This design spike will look at their severity and create separate cards to address them.
**Feedback from Giuliano - Head of Product @ eLife re: Mobile UX**
- When typing a new annotation as a reply to another one some way down the panel, caret positioning does not match the actual cursor, meaning where the cursor appears and where the text comes out are sometimes not in the same place. This is somewhat random and hard to replicate, but it happens often enough. When the screen is zoomed it happens even more often.
- Long annotations that require “more” to be clicked before being able to see the whole text are blocked from scrolling once you do, meaning you can’t see the whole annotation.
- The “copy to clipboard” sharing functionality does not work (and the sharing icons are tiny on mobile to begin with)
"In some situations these are simply annoying - in others they completely break the ability to use the tool. I think generally it would be good to spend some time on the mobile side of annotations, and for us, with close to 20% of our traffic now being mobiles and tablets, it would be great to see that last bit of the experience polished to the same standard as the rest."
