Description

## Bug report form
### Steps to reproduce
1.I'm annotating on a Climate Feedback article: https://climatefeedback.org/most-popular-climate-change-stories-2017-reviewed-scientists/
2. Using Chrome Version 63.0.3239.132
3. When I select text to annotate, it appears that both the line I select and the line above are being selected, but when I look closely at the finished selection, I can see that there are really two overlapping selections being made just before the buttons appear.
### Expected behaviour
Tell us what should happen.
Only what I intend to select should be selected/highlighted
### Actual behaviour
Tell us what happens instead.
Two overlapping selections occur on different lines in roughly the same area of the page. NOTE: When I actually click the annotate button, the text I intended to select is selected, but the process is very confusing and sloppy looking.
Attaching two screen shots--one of the weird overlapping selections and one of how it looks after I click the annotate button.
