Determine which "top bar"-like controls should be present in the Notebook

Right now, the Notebook is a simple box with contents—it is not an independent interface and relies on its launch from the Sidebar to operate.

Going forward, we'll want to determine what kind of additional controls to add to the Notebook (e.g. "top bar" or similar controls).
