How to apply tags to all annotation in a page

I asked Hypothesis technical support whether there was a way to apply the same tag to all annotations in a page. This feature would be very useful as I see many users tagging every annotation in the same article/page with the same tags. Would there be a way to do this efficiently? They answered that I can do via the API. Where could I find infos on how to do this? Thanks in advance.
