The annotation does not display the same format as it does in the page

When creating annotations that span lines on a page, the annotation displayed in the sidebar does not display the same as it does on the page (it appears to drop newlines). This makes the annotation really hard to read as the formatting can be very important. Here the annotation was made on some tabular data but note the annotation in the sidebar because the newlines were dropped is pretty much unreadable.
