Description

### 🐞 Description

The docs state that

To mention a role or user, open up your chat and type [@ to show the user/role suggestions popup.

but when typing [@ into chat, nothing happens.

I also saw another user post about this but they didnt have it installed on client, I have it installed on client and still nothing. Even mentioning without the [ just the @{username} like hypherion says in that post does not show anything up.

I updated Server and Client side mods and it was working when I had these versions installed on client and server:

CraterLib-Forge-1.20-3.0.1.jar
SimpleDiscordLink-Universal-3.3.4.jar

After updating bot and everything is working as it used to, just can't mention anymore?

### 🔄 Steps to reproduce

1. Setup the bot
2. Setup the chat relay
3. Enable allowMentions in the bot's config
4. Type [@, @, #, or [# into the chat
5. See nothing appearing

### ✅ Expected behavior

The suggestion box appearing.

### ❌ Actual behavior

Nothing showing up.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue with Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.10, Mod 3.4.3, CraterLib 3.1.2+hotfix.1, and allowMentions enabled, testing the listed trigger characters in chat. Compare this with the previously working CraterLib 3.0.1 and SimpleDiscordLink 3.3.4 versions; done means the suggestions popup appears for the documented mention triggers.
