Description

Hey, I was wondering if there are any plans to add dashboard templates or a simple dashboard generator to HyperDX.

The idea would be to let developers quickly create a useful dashboard from a template instead of setting everything up manually.

For example, a 4xx/5xx error monitoring template could generate a dashboard based on service name with error rates, status code breakdowns, failing endpoints/services, and error trends.

I think this could make the initial developer experience with HyperDX much easier, while still letting users customize the generated dashboard afterward.

I've already worked on a dashboard generator for HyperDX, so I'd love to contribute this if it's something the maintainers are interested in.

If this isn't already planned, I'd appreciate some guidance on how you'd want something like this to fit into the existing dashboard flow, and I'd be happy to work on the implementation.

Research direction

No files or tests are named. Start by mapping HyperDX's existing dashboard flow and reviewing how dashboards are currently created and customized; clarify the intended template and generator boundaries with maintainers. Done should include an agreed implementation scope for a 4xx/5xx template that generates the listed monitoring views while preserving customization.
