WPML incompatibility with Media Translations

I've been tracking an issue with WPML and the Media Translation plugin where incorrect images appear in translated content.

WPML doesn't recognize the Network Media Library and when the images uploaded into the media library the returned ID is often matched against an incorrect Media Translation in the WPML media translation database.

I'm using :
Network Media Library - Version 1.5.0. ( current )
WPML Multilingual CMS Version 4.2.6
WPML Media Version 2.5.2

I'm reporting here and the WPML support. Happy to assist with re-producing.

Start by reproducing the incorrect-image behavior with Network Media Library 1.5.0, WPML Multilingual CMS 4.2.6, and WPML Media 2.5.2, comparing uploaded media IDs with the WPML Media Translation database. Done means translated content consistently displays the intended images and no longer matches IDs to incorrect translations.
