The api.segment.io script is render-blocking, slows down the admin area

I notice reasonably frequently that the https://api.segment.io/v1/p script that loads in the admin area is the slowest asset and causes the page load to stall if the asset doesn't respond immediately.

This script is fully render blocking. If the script takes a few seconds to respond, nothing but a white screen is shown for the duration.
