Escape keys with delimiters

Description
Shouldn't there be a way to escape those keys that have the delimiter inside?
Paths in [json-pointer format](https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6901#section-3) use ~0 and ~1, which can be done in a [one-liner](https://github.com/manuelstofer/json-pointer/blob/master/index.js).
