Description
Heyho, great work bringing back papers with code, I love it!
I was wondering if you could add **tabular** machine learning as a task to https://paperswithcode.co/tasks. This field has a lot of great work on benchmarking and foundation models, which is currently not covered by the browser. The tabular community is currently growing rapidly and has attracted large interest from academia and industry.
* Some related work to show its impact: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-024-08328-6, https://arxiv.org/abs/2506.16791 (Live benchmark at https://huggingface.co/spaces/TabArena/leaderboard), https://arxiv.org/abs/2407.00956 (additonal popular benchmark)
* Recent surveys: https://www.preprints.org/manuscript/202605.1532, https://arxiv.org/abs/2504.16109
Time-Series Classification and Forecasting under "Other" would be highly related but distinct tasks (https://paperswithcode.co/tasks/time-series-classification). Furthermore, if I could suggest a term to group these highly related tasks, I would use "structured data". Many recent and popular workshops position work related to tabular data or time-series forecasting as "structured" data (https://icml-structured-fm-workshop.github.io/, https://icml-structured-fm-workshop.github.io/2025/, https://sites.google.com/view/eurips25-ai-td/home, https://tsalm-workshop.github.io/). Relational learning would also be part of this group (e.g., https://relbench.stanford.edu/).
I am happy to help write a blurb for it or anything else I can assist with!
