Description

**Device model, version and app version*

Macbook Pro, M4, 2024, 14 inch. macOS 26.5 (25F71)

Home Assistant 2026.5.0 (2026.1984)

Version 26.5 (21624.2.5.11.4)

**Home Assistant Core Version**

2026.5.4

**Describe the bug**

I just installed Home Assistant Companion from the Mac App Store. I logged into my home assistant core. On the next page, "let us help secure your remote connection", the page is frozen.

Clicking on the first radio button does an ink spill animation indicating the click registered.

Clicking the second radio button does nothing.

Clicking Next makes the button stretch bigger then return to its normal size; does not go to next page.

Clicking Learn More pops an empty dialog for a fraction of a second, then closes the dialog.

I quit the app and restarted it and I was able to click through then.

**To Reproduce**

Do a fresh install from mac app store. connect to your home assistant. enter login details.

**Expected behavior**

Should be able to proceed past this on first install.
