M1 Mac not detecting microphone usage

Model Name: MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021)
macOS Version: 12.6 (21G115)
App Version: 2022.10 (2022.398)
Safari Version: 16.0 (17614.1.25.9.10, 17614)

**Home Assistant Core Version**
2022.10.4

**Describe the bug**

Unable to detect microphone (in/not in) use

**To Reproduce**

1. Create an Automation that triggers on microphone usage (I've tried Audio Input and Output)
2. Open a meeting

**Expected behavior**

Automation gets triggered

**Additional context**

I do notice that on an Intel Mac there are specific options for Microphone activity that do not show up for an M1 Mac.
