Location from pixel 8 sometimes leaps back into zone.home multiple times while going out

When going out the phones location leaps between its actual location and somewhere in zone.home multiple times, leading to automations based on the number of people in zone.home or device/user location to fire repeatedly and incorrectly.

**Additional information:**
The user J shown on the map has a single device set against them, just the Pixel 8.
The pixel 8s location does the same, shown in the history bar (so this seems to be where the issues coming from rather than anything about the user.
It doesn't happen every time I go out, sometimes it's OK.
I've seen the same when using high accuracy and a larger zone around home, and when using an automation to get the devices location every 30s while in a larger zone.
No other location based apps show the same behaviour on the phone, multiple apps track its location just fine.
I've cleared cache and data of the android app, removed the mobile device from my HA server and set both back up again, and still see the same.
