Tmux Issues and hanging

When i run tmux with multiple panes on a remote server and try to clear the pane it just does not work. there remains a ghosting of the previous text. It also seems to hang a lot of times when just typing or making connection to servers using ssh. This is a great app(currently best in the appstore) but it feels lot more buggy.
