No toolbar on iPadOS

Description
Hi, I am running iPadOS 18.5 and a-Shell (both mini and full) doesn't show a toolbar out of the box.
I have run `config -t` for good measure and it did nothing. I have no hardware keyboard plugged in.
Sometimes my brain is just not using the right synapses and I can't add 2+2, so let me know if there's anything blatantly obvious I am missing here.
