Minor UI requests

Would it be possible to make a-shell trigger the dark keyboard layout when using it with a black background? Right now the keyboard colorchange only triggers when the system UI changes to dark. Also would it be possible to include an arrow key navigator wheel like the one iSH is using with press and hold support? I currently struggle with the current arrow key layout.
