Package Manager and Package Updates?

Is having a package manager a total nono still given that iSH (I know emulation is not quite the same) is including an apk command in their app store releases (they used to make you download and install it manually)?

It would be great if the core packages got updates sometimes. The a-shell-commmands repo hasn't been updated since August, so I was wondering whether ffmpeg, curl, python, etc could be updated to the latest version and was wondering whether given py-pip is already a package manager that something to keep the rest of the code as up to date as possible/resources allow would be a possibility at some point.

Either way, thank you for a great app that I and others I have shared it with love and literally use every day! I abandoned iOS around 2014 for AOSP and now, seeing how much things have improved thanks to apps like yours and Apple getting their act together a bit (despite there still being some things I still rely on Android for and some problems I have with iOS' underlying design decisions but hey a firewall gateway solves most of it for the moment) is definitely at least something for me to smile about in 2020!
