Not able to open Dropbox folder in a jupyter session

Hi,
I saw your comment for opening the directory into a jupyter session to be able to read in data into the notebook in the same directory. I could use select the directory and open the directory on local memory, but when I am trying to open the directory on a Dropbox folder, it throws an error and suggests to relaunch the program, but the issue continues to happen.
