Research direction

Start with the linked spatial-partitioning notebook and reproduce the blank initial Hilbert plot in Jupyter Lab 0.35.4 using the reported Python, Plotly, Datashader, Bokeh, and pyviz_comm versions. Compare its behavior with Jupyter Notebook; done means the initial plot renders in Jupyter Lab as expected.
